Daniel founded Merrow Wood in 2020 with a clear vision: to build a modern land promotion business that combines deep development expertise with genuine partnership & long-term thinking. A Chartered Surveyor with more than 20 years of experience in land, planning & residential development, he has built the company from the ground up into a focused business dedicated to unlocking the potential of strategic land across the South East.

Throughout his career, Daniel has led the acquisition, promotion & delivery of residential development opportunities ranging from small edge-of-settlement sites to major urban extensions. His experience in the housebuilding sector have provided a detailed understanding of the planning system & the commercial drivers that determine whether a site succeeds.

As Founder & Executive Director, Daniel leads Merrow Wood’s strategic direction & oversees the promotion of its land portfolio from initial appraisal through to planning & sale. Drawing on his extensive development experience, he focuses on creating planning strategies that maximise land value while delivering schemes that are commercially robust, deliverable and capable of leaving a positive and lasting legacy.

He firmly believes that the best outcomes are achieved through trust, transparency & building lasting partnerships with landowners & stakeholders alike.

Outside of work, Daniel lives in Surrey with his wife and two young sons. Much of his spare time is spent with his family, whether that’s exploring the countryside, planning the next mountain biking or skiing trip, or enthusiastically supporting his children’s latest adventures.
