Alex started his career as an officer in the British Army, before working for a leading European investment bank. After gaining an MBA at London Business School, he joined Palmer Capital, now Fiera Real Estate UK, becoming chief executive in 2008.

He grew the AUM from nil to over £1bn of third-party capital, sat on boards of 12 of the most active property development companies and established a Pan-European real estate debt business. After selling Palmer Capital to Fiera Capital in 2019, he became chief executive of the combined European business before leaving in 2023, to study a masters degree at Kings College, London.

Out of work Alex enjoys running and watching cricket. He also sits on the Marylebone Cricket Club Estates Committee responsible for managing the Lords cricket ground.
