Burleigh Lane-Crawley

This site is a derelict commercial site with large areas of green space, its sits to the immediate south of the village edge and was a logical extension to Crawley Down. We worked with Mid Sussex and delivered a site allocation which was subsequently converted into a detailed planning permission for 48 new homes. They key issue we faced on this project was delivering a suitable access and significant local opposition. We engaged directly with West Sussex Highways officers to deliver an acceptable access design. At planning committee Merrow Wood were praised for how well we had respected the sites constraints whilst also delivering a high density scheme, our landscape led design shone through and despite multiple objectors speaking against the development we received our detailed planning permission.
